National Nurses Month
Did you know National Nurses Week begins each year on May 6th and ends on May 12th, Florence Nightingale's birthday? In 1994, the American Nurses Association’s (ANA) Board of Directors designated these days as permanent dates to observe National Nurses Week.
This year the celebration has been extended to include the entire month of May, and is also part of the "Year of the Nurse and Midwife" celebration. There will be four different themes, celebrated each week, for National Nurses Month. The four themes are Self Care, Recognition, Professional Development, and Community Engagement.
During National Nurses Month, 1Call would like to extend a special thanks to all nurses. You continue to provide the highest level of quality care to all of us, especially during this COVID-19 crisis, and deserve special recognition for your efforts!
Thank you, Nurses!
